Johnson Central’s defense was solid and running back Zack McCoart had another big game as the Golden Eagles rolled to a 36-7 win over Lincoln County in the Class 4A playoff matchup played at Jim Matney Field on Friday night.
The Golden Eagles improved to 9-2 and will next host Wayne County (8-3) this Friday. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
McCoart ran for 97 yards on just seven carries and a pair of touchdowns. He also returned a punt for a touchdown.
