Kentucky’s defense held top-ranked Georgia to three first-half field goals but a missed late field goal by the Wildcats took away any chance of a fourth quarter rally.

The Bulldogs added a second half touchdown and went on to beat Kentucky, 16-6, in the SEC East matchup played at frigid Kroger Field on Saturday.

Kentucky dropped to 6-5 overall heading into Saturday’s Governor Cup showdown with intra-state rival Louisville (7-4). Kickoff is set for 3 pm.

Quarterback Will Levis passed for 206 yards, completing 20-of-31 attempts, including an eight-yard scoring strike to Barion Brown in the fourth quarter. Brown hauled in 10 catches for 145 yards.

Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. had 51 yards on 17 carries.
