Jake Varney had two hits and drove home three runs while scoring twice. Jonathan Banks added two singles and knocked in three as the Pirates improved to 9-6. Gage Fields had a pair of hits, scored three runs, and batted in one.
Jonah Adkins was the winning pitcher.
Canaan Cunniff had an RBI-single for the Cougars, who dropped to 6-6. Quinton Williams scored the lone run.
