Belfry scored three straight wins in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic for the 15th time in the 47-year run of the tournament.
The Pirates defeated Unicoi County, Tenn., Newport, and Shelby Valley.

Belfry and Shelby Valley battled back and forth throughout before the Pirates escaped with an 84-80 win in the final game of the Mountain Schoolboy Classic played on Thursday night.
Sal Dean poured in a game-high 31 points to lead a trio of Pirates scoring in double figures. Tykee Peterson followed with 23 and DeMahjae Clark added 20 as Belfry improved to 5-3.
The Wildcats, now 7-5, landed five players in double-digit scoring as Riley Phillips led the way with 24 points. Collier Fuller tallied 14 while Chaz Brown and Ethan Sykes added 11 each. Caleb Lovins net 10.

DeMahjae Clark paced a balanced attack with 26 points and Sal Dean finished with 25. Tykee Peterson tossed in 22.

Sal Dean stripped the nets for a game-high 35 points as the Pirates evened their record at 3-3. Tykee Peterson followed with 26 and DeMahjae Clark tallied 25.
