Johnson Central remained perfect in games with Harlan County as the Golden Eagles beat the Black Bears for the ninth time in the series, 43-6, at Jim Matney Field on Friday night.
Running back Zack McCoart and quarterback Grant Rice rushed for a pair of touchdowns each as Johnson Central improved to 6-2. McCoart ran for 76 yards on seven rushing attempts.
Carter Conley added a rushing touchdown. He finished with 95 yards on just six carries.
Ryleh McKenzie picked off a pass and returned it 62 yards for a score.
Johnson Central goes on the road to Letcher Central (6-1)on a showdown for first pace in the district on Oct 22. Kickoff from Cougar Field is 7:30 pm.
