Johnson Central ended a two-game losing streak as the Golden Eagles raced past Waverly, Ohio, 54-7, in a game played at Jim Matney Field on Friday night.
Quarterback Jacob Grimm passed for a touchdown and ran for a pair as Central improved to 3-2 and snapped a two-game losing streak.
Running back Zack McCoart rushed for 96 yards and two scores on 11 carries. He also caught a 26-yard scoring pass. Logan Music and Christian Barnes had a rushing touchdown each. Music returned an interception for a score.
The Golden Eagles are idle this week before hitting the road to Manchester for a district matchup with Clay County on Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
