HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Johnson Central breezes past Greenup County

Johnson Central’s ground game powered the Golden Eagles to a 33-13 win over Greenup County in a road game played on Friday night.

Running back Carter Conley had 28 carries for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Barnes finished with 123 yards and one score on 18 attempts.

Logan Morrow had 80 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns as the Golden Eagles moved to 6-3.

Johnson Central will close out the regular season, hosting Ashland-Blazer (8-0) this Friday. Kickoff from Jim Matney Field is set for 7:30 pm.
