HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Johnson Central runs past Boyd County

Johnson Central’s running game overpowered Boyd County as the Golden Eagles downed the Lions, 53-14, at Jim Matney Memorial Field on Friday night.

Five different running backs rushed for at least one touchdown as the Golden .

 won their third straight game and moved to 4-2 overall.

Christian Barnes and Logan Music ran for a pair of scores each. Barnes carried 19 times for 126 yards. Music added 76 yards on 11 rushes. He had a 68-yard TD reception. The Golden Eagles will travel to Corbin (5-0) on Friday night. Game time is 7:30 pm.

Carter Conley had 86 yards and one touchdown while Braxton Perry and quarterback Jacob Grimm added a rushing touchdown. He passed for 105 yards and one touchdown.
