HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Late TD lifts Blackcats past Jaguars

Prestonsburg erased a 12-point deficit with less than 10 minutes to play to knock off Floyd Central, 26-24, snapping a three-game losing streak in the series on the road Friday night.

Running back Brant George rushed for two second-half touchdowns, including the game winner with 1 minute, 19 seconds remaining.

Running back Ethan Jarvis finished with 166 yards on 12 carries to lead the ground game. Carter Akers added 67 yards and one score on nine carries. Jackson Shannon added a touchdown run.

Floyd Central was led on the ground by Blake Adams with 100 yards on 23 rushes.

Sheston Johnson, Max Martin and John Johnson each added a rushing touchdown.

Prestonsburg won its third straight game and moved to 3-2 while the Jaguars fell to 0-5.
