HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Paintsville falls to Raceland in district finals

The defending champions have been eliminated.

Paintsville scored on the first play from scrimmage against Raceland, but the Tigers were shutdown offensively for nearly the entire game afterwards as the host Rams rallied for a 28-14 win in the district championship played on Friday night.

Harris finished with 91 yards on 15 carries as the Tigers season ended at 6-6. Quarterback AJ James passed for 124 yards and a score.

Receiver Grayson Peters hauled in four passes for 44 yards, including an eight-yard TD catch. It came with one minute, 25 seconds to play.
