HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Paintsville runs wild in win at Perry Central

Paintsville ran its way to a 3-0 start this season as the Tigers rushed for six scores in a 43-0 victory over Perry Central in a game played in Hazard on Friday night.

Running back Harris Phelps carried 12 times for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Paintsville amassed 328 yards on the ground.

Zach Thompson finished with 100 yards and one score on just five carries while quarterback Jake Hyden had two rushing touchdowns and finished with 58 yards on four rushes. He passed for 100 yards.

Luke Hyden added a short TD run to cap the scoring.

Hunter Ousley and Nathan Marsillett had 11 tackles each and Mason Lovely had 10 in the shutout win.

The Tigers will host Fairview (1-2) at Memorial Field on Oct. 9.
