HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Wildcats dominated in home loss to Jags

Shelby Valley’s offense was held in-check throughout the game as North Laurel rolled into Teco Field and left with a 42-7 win in a game played in Friday night.

Running back Jayden Newsome finished with 84 yards on 18 carries and scored the Wildcats only touchdown on a three-yard run late in the final quarter. Newsome also had seven catches for 38 yards.

Quarterback Russ Osborne passed for 110 yards and ran for 65 as Valley dropped to 2-2.
