HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Belfry cruises past Floyd Central in 2A Section matchup

Belfry hurler Molly Fahm allowed just one hit over five innings and the Lady Pirates used timely hitting to defeat Floyd Central, 11-1, in the Kentucky 2A Sectional game played at Langley on Monday night.

Fahm, who struck out 12 batters, had a big game of her own at the plate with four hits, including a double, and knocked in three runs.

Makaylin Meade collected three hits, one a double, and drove in three runs while Natalie Fite doubled, walked twice, and drove in a pair of runs.

Mia Queen-Gilliam singled in the loss for the Lady Jaguars. Madilyn Meade walked and scored.

Cadyn Roberson was the losing pitcher.
