Johnson Central bounced back from back-to-back losses to hammer Scott (WV), 17-5, in the Tri-State Showcase played at Boyd County High School on Saturday.
Emily Adkins belted a pair of long balls, scored three runs, and drove in seven as the Lady Eagles moved to 8-2. Clara Blair doubled, singled, scored three times and batted in four runs. Abigail Williams had three singles and knocked in three runs. Mayson Delong doubled in one run and scored twice.
Madelyn Vaughn was the winning pitcher.

Johnson Central and Lincoln County put on an offensive showcase as the Lady Eagles came out on the short end of a 16-10 matchup played as part of the Tri-State Showcase at Boyd County High School on Saturday.
Randi Delong had a big day for the Lady Eagles (7-2) with three dingers and seven RBIs. Chloe VanHoose added three singles and knocked in one run while Mayson Delong had three hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Jaden Bowling added two hits and one RBI.
Emily Adkins took the loss.
