Pike County Central pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Lady Hawks edged Marion County, 2-1, in the Kentucky 2A state championship tournament played at Jack C. Fisher Field in Owensboro on Saturday.
Winning pitcher Chloe Hannah struck out 15 batters. She also singled twice.
Abigail Hess singled, walked and scored one run while Sydney Thompson singled and walked. Emalie Tackett scored one run and Taylor Hannah singled and walked twice.
