The Betsy Layne Bobcats captured the boys 58th District title with a 65-42 win over Lawrence County in a game played at Junior Newsome Arena on Thursday night.
It was the Bobcats first championship since 2014 and 18th overall as they moved to 12-8. The Bulldogs dropped to 11-10.
Brady Robinson fired in a game-high 22 points and Andrew Kidd added 21. Shawn Howell and Chase Mims tossed in nine each.
Will Lafferty led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Trenton Adkins followed with 10 while Cody Maynard chipped in nine.
