The University of Pikeville used a 7-0 run late in the final quarter to score a thrilling 72-70 win over the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg on Saturday.
The Bears ran their winning streak to eight straight games and moved to 14-4 on the season.
Allie Stone poured in a season-high 21 points. Morgan Stamper and Hailey Free tallied 10 apiece. Willa Davis added nine.
UPIKE will host Bethel University (7-10) on Thursday. Game time is 5:30 pm.

The University of Pikeville women basketball Bears placed five players in double-figure scoring as they rolled past Georgetown College, 94-71, in a game played at the Arena on Thursday night.
Morgan Stamper and Sierra Feltner led the scoring attack with 19 points each. Mary Englert finished with 18 while Bailey Frazier scored 16 and Allie Stone net 14
