The University of Pikeville men’s basketball team ran out to a big halftime lead and the Bears went on to beat Kentucky Christian University, 91-50, in an Appalachian Athletic Conference game played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Tuesday night.
UPIKE moved to 2-1 overall while the Knights dropped to 3-3.
Isaac Stanback led five Bears in double figures with 19 points. Korbin Spencer followed with 13 and Bradley Bunch tallied 12.
Kyonte Thomas tossed in 11 and Connor Lane added 10.
UPIKE returns to action at Johnson University (1-3) in Knoxville on Thursday. Game time is 7:30 pm

The two teams battled back and forth before the Bulldogs scored the narrow win.
