COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE men fall in double OT

The University of Pikeville men’s basketball team saw an eight-point lead get away in overtime and Cumberland (Tenn.) rallied to force a second overtime and the Phoenix went on to down the Bears, 90-86, in a Mid-South Conference matchup played on Saturday night.

Jordan Perry poured in 24 points to lead UPIKE, now 1-2. Malcolm Green followed with 17 and Taevon Horton net 15. Jacob Brown added a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

The Bears return to Appalachian Wireless Arena to host Campbellsville (3-1)in a 6 pm tipoff on Tuesday night.
