COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE men snap two-game skid

The University of Pikeville Bears took an 11-point, halftime lead and made it hold up in the second half to score an 81-71 win over Freed-Hardeman in a Mid-South Conference game played at the UPIKE Gymnasium on Saturday.

UPIKE, now 12-9, landed four players in double-figure scoring as Korbin Spencer, MSC Player of the Week, led the way with a game-high 27 points.

Keian Worrix followed with 14 while Teddy Parham Jr., net 11 and Bradley Bunch tossed in 10.

The Bears will next play at Cumberland University (10-10) on Thursday. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
