University of Pikeville overcame an early deficit, and the Bears went on to beat WVU-Tech, 69-64, in a women’s game played in Beckley on Tuesday night.
Senior Brianna Burbridge poured in a game-high 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to finish with a double-double as UPIKE improved to 2-0. The Bears dropped to 1-2.
Sierra Feltner followed with 16 points and Mary Englert tossed in 13.
UPIKE returns to Appalachian Wireless Arena on Nov. 28 to host Midway University (2-0) in a 4 pm tipoff.
