Nationally ranked Bethel University slowed down the University of Pikeville offense for the better part of three quarters in rolling to a 45-16 Mid-South Conference win at Wildcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
UPIKE quarterback Lee Kirkland passed for 256 yards and one score as the Bears dropped to 2-1. Backup quarterback Eli Sammons added a TD pass.
The Bears were held to just 55 total yards on the ground.
UPIKE will travel to Bluefield, Va. (2-1) for a matchup at Mitchell Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 pm.
