COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Georgetown upends UPIKE

Georgetown College overcame a slim first-quarter deficit to defeat UPIKE, 40-20, in a homecoming game played at W.C. Hambley Athletic Complex on Saturday.

Georgetown amassed 403 yards of total offense, while holding the Bears to 234 yards on 71 plays. UPIKE had its lowest passing game with 117 yards, playing without injured quarterback Lee Kirkland.

The loss drops the Bears to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in Mid-South Conference games. UPIKE will travel to Campbellsville University (2-4) this coming Saturday.
