HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Defending champs headed to Campbellsville

Pikeville, the defending All “A” Classic state baseball champions, punched their ticket to Campbellsville with a 4-2 win over Raceland in the Sectional title game played at Davis Park on Friday night.

Wade Henley’s two-run triple in the bottom of the third inning put the Panthers ahead for good at 3-2. Braydn Hall who singled and Noah Jarrell, who reached on a walk scored. Hensley came home on Jake Lowe’s single.

Winning pitcher Isaac Duty allowed five hits and two earned runs. He fanned 10.

The Panthers took an early 1-0 in the second as Hensley singled and scored on Jackson Hall’s ground out.
