The Man Hillbillies scored five runs in the first inning and went on to beat host Wahama, 5-1, to capture the Class A, Region IV baseball championship on Tuesday night. Man, now 21-8, advances to the state tournament next week.
Casey Hurley went five plus innings before giving away to Caleb Blevins to close out the White Falcons season.
Brady Hall-Montgomery had a two-run single in the first inning and Caleb Vance added a two-run hit to highlight the opening frame.
Wahama scored its lone run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Logan went on the road to Point Pleasant on Tuesday night and knocked off the Big Blacks, 7-3, forcing a third and deciding game in the Class AA, Region IV championship.
The Wildcats, now 24-6, will host Point Pleasant (21-9) at Roger Gertz Field at 6 p.m. tonight. The winner advances to the state tournament next week.
Konner Lowe had three hits, including a double, drove in three runs and scored once while Aiden Slack added a pair of singles. He scored two runs and batted in one. Winning pitcher Tyler Fenwick collected three hits and scored a pair of runs while Carson Kirk singled in one run.
