HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Panthers win third straight All ‘A’ title

Pikeville won its third straight 15th Region All “A” Classic Tournament baseball championship with a dominating 15-0 win over Paintsville in three innings at Dale Trivette Field on Monday night.

It was the third straight championship for the Panthers, having won in 2019, 2021, and 2022. COVID canceled the 2020 season. It was the eighth title in school history.

Sam Wright had two hits and drove in three runs while Jackson Hall singled, walked twice, scored, and batted in three.

Tate Walters, Dylan Thompson, and Jake Lowe knocked in a pair of runs each.

Brady Clark pitched three no-hit and scoreless innings to earn the win.
