HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Pikeville advances with win over Martin County

Pikeville went on the road to Martin County and scored a 7-3 opening-round win in the boys’ 15thRegion All “a” classic baseball tournament on Tuesday night.

Noah Jarrell and Jake Lowe drove in a pair of runs each for the Panthers.  Sam Wright added three hits, including a double, scored twice and added an RBI.

Braydn Hall added an RBI single and scored while Dylan Thompson singled and scored twice.

Jackson Hall was the winning pitcher.

Aiden Horn had three hits for the Cardinals and drove in two runs while losing pitcher Greyden Proctor doubled, singled, and batted in one run.

Damian Cheek had two hits and scored while Dawson Mills singled and scored.
