Pikeville snapped a scoreless game with two runs in the third inning and the Panthers went on to beat Corbin, 8-0, in a game played at Don House Field on Saturday.
Winning pitcher Dylan Thompson helped his own cause as he blasted a two-run homer. Tate Walters collected four hits and scored a pair of runs while driving in one.
Noah Jarrell singled, walked, and added a pair od RBIs. Bradyn Hall had three hits, one a triple, scored once and batted in one. Jackson Hall had two singles and scored a run.

Pikeville pitcher Isaac Duty allowed just four hits as the Panthers built a four-run lead and went on to knock off Russell County, 4-2, in the opening game played at Don House Field on Saturday.
Tate Walters had a pair of hits, including a double. He scored one run and batted in two. Dylan Thompson doubled in one run and walked.
Logan Windle doubled in a run and Jeb Wilkerson singled and scored.

Pikeville jumped ahead early on against Raceland and the Panthers cruised to an 11-0 win in the 15t/16th Region All “A” sectional matchup played on the road on Friday night.
The win advances the Panthers to the state tournament at Richmond where they will face Glasgow on April 30.
Noah Jarrel finished with three hits, one a double, scored twice and knocked in two runs. Jeb Wilkerson added a pair of singles. He drove in two runs and scored twice.
Jake Lowe doubled in two runs and scored while Dylan Thompson added a pair of RBIs. Tate Walters doubled, singled, and added an RBI.
Brady Clark struck out six and allowed only two hits in the five-inning mercy rule win.
