HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bench play carries Pikeville past Ashland Blazer

Pikeville went on the road to face 16th Region power Ashland Blazer and the Lady Panthers scored a 62-55 win in the matchup played at Anderson Gymnasium on Saturday night.

The Lady Panthers got a major boost from its bench which contributed 21 points, including 10 from Nicole Lin. Shyla Kidd added eight points and seven rebounds.

Kyera Thornsbury finished with 19 points and trinity Rowe tossed in 12.

Ashland’s Kenleigh led all scorers with 39 points.
