HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Central outscores Cordia; Valley scores road win

Pike Central needed all the offense the Hawks could muster in a wild 99-86 win over Cordia in a game played at Johns Creek School on Monday night.

Josh Du Toit poured in a game-high 33 points as Central improved to 7-2. Jaylan Rigdon followed with 25 and Bryce Adkins tallied 18.

Shelby Valley took control against Magoffin County and cruised to a 74-59 win in a road game on Monday night.

Kaden Robinson was outstanding for the Wildcats, now 6-3, with a game-high 35 points. He was a perfect 17-for-17 from the free throw line. Keian Worrix net 16 and Chaz Brown tossed in 12.
