The Johnson Central Golden Eagles, 9-1 and winners of six straight games, is No. 1 in the latest Mountain Top Sports boys’ Super 7 basketball poll released on Tuesday.
JC is followed by Pikeville (7-3) in at No. 2. The Panthers are ahead of No. 3 Shelby Valley (8-3). The Wildcats are followed by No. 4 Pike Central, down two spots from last week.
Rounding out the poll are Letcher Central (7-5) at No. 5; Paintsville (5-4) is sixth; and Magoffin County (6-6) is seventh.
Receiving votes were Belfry, Martin County, East Ridge and Lawrence County.
