The Johnson Central Golden Eagles are the runaway choice as the No. 1-ranked team in the latest Mountain Top Sports boys’ Super 7 basketball poll released on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles, now 14-1, are followed by Shelby Valley at No. 2. The Wildcats (9-5) are ahead of Belfry. The Pirates (9-7) edged out Pikeville (7-7), which drop to No. 4.
Rounding out the top seven at Pike Central (10-6) at No. 5; Betsy Layne (8-5) is sixth and East Ridge (7-7) is seventh.
Receiving votes this week are Lawrence County and Magoffin County.
