HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Lady Cougars cruise past Powell County; Lady Tigers beat P’burg

Letcher Central built a double-digit lead early on against Powell County and went on to score a 72-43 win in a game played on Monday night.

Loren Boggs paced the Lady Cougars (15-5) with 19 points and Kiera Couch followed with 15. Tori Halcomb tossed in 10 while Kaylee R. Banks and Jaylin Whitt added nine each.
