Pikeville used a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to snap a 42-all tie and the Lady Panthers went on to beat 59th district rival Shelby Valley, 57-50, in the 15th Region All A Classic championship game played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Trinity Rowe poured in 24 points for Pikeville, now 13-1 overall and winners of 12 straight games. Rylee Theiss added 11 points.
Alyssa Elswick led the Lady Kats with 20 points and Cassidy Rowe added 10 as the defending champions dropped to 14-4.
The Lady Panthers advance to the All A Classic state tournament in Richmond later this month.
