HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Lady Panthers grab top spot from Valley

Pikeville has moved into the top spot in the latest Mountain Top Sports girls’ Super 7 basketball poll released on Wednesday.

The Lady Panthers are followed by No. 2 Shelby Valley, which held the top spot one week ago.

Martin County grabs the No. 3 position, followed by Floyd Central.

Rounding out the poll are Lawrence County at No. 5, followed by Mingo Central at No. 6 and Logan in the No. 7 slot, tied with Letcher Central.

Teams receiving votes this week include Prestonsburg, Tug Valley Paintsville, and Belfry.
