HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Lady Pirates top Dawgs; Panthers beat Cougars

Belfry went on the road and scored a 57-43 win over Lawrence County in a game played on Saturday.

Kyera Thornsbury tossed in 21 points and Cushi Fletcher followed with 16 as the Belfry improved to 11-5.

Kensley Feltner finished with a game-high 28 points as the Lady Bulldogs dropped to 9-7. Ellie Webb added 10.

Floyd Central snapped a two-game losing streak as they rolled past East Ridge, 76-40, in a game played at the Reservation on Saturday.

Kennedy Harvel fired in a game-high 22 points and Katie Jo Moore added 15 as the Lady Jaguars improved to 12-2. Chelsea Johnson finished with nine and Riley Compton net eight.

Sylvia Ratliff paced the Lady Warriors (2-10) with 11 points and Kirsten Easterling followed with 10. Leah Wells chipped in eight.
