HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: No. 2 Man pounds No. 1 Tug Valley

The second-ranked Man Hillbillies likely took back the top spot in Class A following an impressive 85-56 win over No. 1 Tug Valley at Man Memorial Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

Austin Ball fired in a game-high 25 points as the Hillbillies improved to 4-0. Caleb Blevins followed with 23 while Peyton Adams added 15. Hunter Anderson chipped in nine.

Caleb May paced the Panthers (5-1) with 17 points and Justin Hall added 11 while Easton Davis tossed in 10.

Tug Valley won its fifth straight game to open the season as the Panthers beat Greenbrier West, 80-69.

It was the second win this season over the Cavaliers.

Caleb May led the offensive attack for the Panthers with 25 points and Ian Reed followed with 22. Ethan Colegrove tossed in 18.
