Pikeville used a balanced scoring attack to pull away and beat Knott Central, 79-57, in the opening round of the Pikeville Invitational Tournament played at the T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium on Monday.

Keian Worrix, Nick Robinson and Rylee Samons scored 16 points each while Lukas Manns added 14 and Health Jarrell net 11.

Andrew Kidd fired in 29 points and Jordan Frazier followed with 20. Brady Robinson and Shawn Howell tossed in nine each.

Landon Dotson led Phelps with 17 points and Mason Prater finished with a baker’s dozen.
