HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Pikeville sweeps Lawrence County; Dingess shoots ‘lights out’

Pikeville grabbed the lead early on against Lawrence County and the Panthers rolled to a 61-48 victory in a game played at T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

Nick Robinson led four Panthers in double-figure scoring with 17 points as Pikeville improved to 20-1 overall. Rylee Samons followed with 15, all coming on three-point baskets. Laithan Hall tossed in 12 and Keian Worrix added 11.

Trenton Adkins tallied 17 to lead the Bulldogs, now 19-5. Tyler Johnson net 12 and Cody Maynard chipped in nine.

Brady Robinson poured in a game-high 28 points and Jordan Frazier followed with 25 as the Bobcats improve to 15-6. Chase Mims added 11.
