The Pirates had built a 14-point, first-had lead om TD runs by Caden Woolum, and Ace Caudill before the Maroons scored the game’s next 35 points.

Freshman quarterback Chase Varney capped the scoring with a one yard run late in the final quarter.

Caudill led the Belfry running game with 164 yards on 12 rushes. Dre Young added 75yards 20 carries.

Belfry will return to action on Friday night as they host Bourbon County (0-1) in the 37th annual Pike County Bowl. Kickoff is set for 8 pm.
