Undefeated and district powerhouse West Carter used a bruising ground game to run away and beat Prestonsburg, 58-7, in a game played on Friday night.
The Blackcats, now 1-4, managed a rushing touchdown by quarterback Brayden Slone to account for their only score. Slone ran seven times for 63 yards. Prestonsburg was held to just 102 total yards.
Comet running back Leetavious Cline ran seven times for 140 yards and two scores while Cole Crampton and Eli Estepp each added a rushing touchdown.
Quarterback Orry Perry tossed three touchdown passes. Logan Berry, Blake McGlone and Jackson Bond hauled in one each.
