HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Eagles pull away, beat Pirates

Johnson Central used a strong late second-half surge to knock off Belfry, 35-14, in a game played at Eagle Field on Friday night.

Running back Dillon Preston ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns as the Eagles improved to 7-0 and won their 22nd straight game.

Quarterback Grant Rice added 68 yards and a pair of scores.

Belfry, which dropped to 5-3, fumbled the football away five times. Running back Isaac Dixon carried 13 times for 131 and two touchdowns

It will be announced when both teams return to action.
