HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hillbillies score road win over Miners

Man continued its dominance of Mingo Central as the Hillbillies scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to turn back the Miners, 28-14, in a game played at Buck Harless Stadium on Friday night. 

Man improved to 3-1 and beat Mingo Central (1-2) for the fourth time in five meetings. 

Quarterback Jayden Brumfield rushed for three touchdowns, including a one-yard score to push the Hillbillies up 14 points with two minutes left to play. His 37-yard TD pass to Jacob Walls put Man on top 21-14. 

Mingo Central running back Dylan Vance scored both of his team’s scores in the second quarter on runs of 21 and one yard. 

Both teams are back in action on Friday night as Man travels to Wyoming East (0-3) for a 7:30 pm kickoff and the Mines hit the road to Poca (0-4). The game kicks off at 7 pm.
