HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Hillbillies turn away Bison

Man’s defense came up big as the Hillbillies held Buffalo’s offense in check throughout the game in a 20-6 homecoming win at George A. Queen Memorial Field on Friday night.

The Hillbillies, now 3-2, took a 6-0 lead on Jeremiah Harless’ 17-yard touchdown pass play from quarterback Israel Canterbury early in the second quarter.

After Buffalo pulled even on a blocked punt for a score, the Hillbillies went in front for good on running back Jordan Adams five-yard run with just under two minutes left in the opening half.

Man added a one-yard TD run by Jordan Adams in the final quarter.
