HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: JC remains No.1; Belfry in at No. 2

Johnson Central held on to the No. 1 position in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles (2-0) was followed by Belfry (1-1). The Pirates were ahead of No. 3 Lawrence County (1-0).

Pikeville (0-2), after a close loss to Class 5A CovCath, was at No. 4. The Panthers were followed by Shelby Valley (1-1) at No. 5.

Rounding out the poll is Logan (1-0) at No. 6, followed by Tug Valley (1-0).

Receiving votes are Prestonsburg (2-0) and Chapmanville (1-0).
