HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Lockhart, McNamee fuel Panthers road win

Pikeville finished with nearly 700 yards offensively and the Panthers outscored host Henry Clay, 58-41, in a matchup played in Lexington on Friday night.

Receiver Zac Lockhart hauled in 17 passes for 388 yards and seven touchdowns as the Panthers improved to 3-0 and won its 17th straight game. He had TD receptions of 55, 56, 26, 17, 8, 13 and 54 yards.

Quarterback Isaac McNamee passed for 419 yards and seven touchdowns, all to Lockhart.

Running back Blake Birchfield rushed 18 times for 133 yards and one touchdown and running back Nate Collins added 129 yards rushing on 13 carries and one score.

Pikeville led throughout the first half before Henry Clay (0-1) took their only lead at 28-25 early in the second half.

The Panthers will travel to Campbell County next Friday night.
