HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Man scores late TD to edge Mingo Central

Man backup quarterback Jeremiah Harless tossed a 35-yard scoring strike to Justin Grimmett with under 4 minutes left to lift the Hillbillies to a come-from-behind win over Mingo Central, 7-6, at George A. Queen Memorial Field on Friday night.

Placekicker Jaxson Tipton booted the game-winning PAT as the Hillbillies improved to2-1.

The Miners, who fell to 1-2, had taken a 6-0 lead on the final play of the third quarter when quarterback Chriss Ross plunged in from one yard out. The two-point conversion failed.

Man forced six Mingo Central turnovers, including an interception in the game final 90 seconds.
