Johnson Central and Pikeville remained the top-ranked teams in the latest Mountain Top Sports Super 7 football poll released on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles (1-1) and Panthers (1-0) were idle last week. JC was under COVID restrictions and Pikeville was unable to play for the first-time ever in the Pike County Bow after Bourbon County was shut down by COVID as well.
Letcher Central (2-0) remained third this week following a come-from-behind win over Davy Crockett, Tenn. Lawrence County (1-0) is fourth, followed by Shelby Valley (1-1).
Rounding out the poll are Belfry (0-2) at No. 6, followed by East Ridge (2-0).
Receiving votes are Logan (1-0), Pike Central (1-1), Betsy Layne (2-0), and Magoffin County (1-0).
