HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Panthers claim 27th regional title

Pikeville overcame a slow start to erase a touchdown deficit and beat Middlesboro, 34-13, in the Class 1A regional championship game played at Hillard Howard Field on Friday night.
the two-time defending champs, now 10-2, will look to get back to the title game when they play at Campbellsville (11-1) this Friday. Kickoff is 7: 30 pm.

Running back Brenden Anthony rushed for 278 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries. Tayvian Boykins added 153 yards on 13 attempts.

Quarterback Isaac Duty passed for 32 yards and a touchdown – an 8-yard reception by Jeb Wilkerson.
