HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Pikeville battles hard, falls to powerful LCA

Pikeville’s defense kept Lexington Christian quarterback Cutter Boley in check.

It was the running of Brady Hensley which eventually wore them down.

Hensley rushed for four touchdowns as the Eagles finally took charge and beat the Panthers, 31-13, in Lexington on Saturday night.

Pikeville running back Anthony Brenden ran for 101 yards on 11 carries, including a 46-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Isaac Duty gave the Panthers a 6-0 lead in the opening quarter on a five-yard run.

Pikeville is back in action on Friday night, hosting the Raceland Rams (2-1) at Hillard Howard Field. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
